HO HO HO HERE WE GO!!

This card really makes me feel like Christmas is almost here! This year has flown by, they all seem too as I get older! I love scene cards and this one has snow drifts and horse and sleigh to really set the scene for winter! I sponged lightly around the edges of the base card, then stamped the tress and pines. These are all in the Holiday book so order now before they are gone! debsegler@gmail.com.  979-255-0377

I so enjoy making special folds and this one is perfect for showing off designer papers. The flap on the outside becomes the closure for the card and it adds such a nice elegant look to the card. The inside has another deer and a Merry Christmas sentiment!

Our newest and favorite embossing folder is the winter trees! Everyone is going crazy over these and ordering them! There are just so many things you can do with it and this makes a wonderful winter scene. The littler birds are stamped in red and added such a color burst! The pine trees in the front give the card depth and a feeling that your looking right into a winter wonderland! The snow drifts are corrugated paper torn to give fluffy feel. Makes me want to put on my jacket and go outside and enjoy Gods beauty !   I wish and pray for all of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS AND THAT MANY BLESSING ARE DISCOVERED UNDER YOUR TREE1! Hugs and Love Debbie your stamp and art friend!

Very Christmas Cards!~

I have missed my stamping friends but had to go back to work and feeling blessed to have an opportunity to do so. But it has cramped my crafting time so here are a few last minute post before Christmas.  This displays a variety of colors and designer papers and I really love it. The die cut white circle has been covered in green ink with a dauber but not all the way to the scallop edge. The flowers were stated in black and colored with markers and then glittered with wink of stella. It is new in our Jan 5th catty! YeA! It is so much fun and is a paint brush tube with glitter or white ink in them. It is great for accents and lots of fun~! The little holly is extra focus and really helped to finish the card off.

Winter and Holiday Embossing FREE FREE GOODIES!

I think embossing folders add such an extra fun punch to your design. This snowflake embossed over the stamped image gives this card a beautiful background and a very elegant look! Your challenge for this week is to get out your embossing folders, and experiment with them to see what different designs you can make. Then add a Holiday stamp or embellishment and send(debsegler@gmail.com )  me a picture to post of your card. I will send the most creative winner a bag of Holiday goodies to use on their projects!  I am getting ready to go back to work soon and will not be posting as often but please keep looking!
Embossing tips: 1.  Use two embossing folders on one card, by embossing one half then place the next folder right up to the crease of the first one and emboss again with different folder. 2.  Emboss the top of your card and then highlight with color, using a sponge or dauber.  3.  Stamp and add color to the card before embossing then emboss over your design. 4. Ice the inside of the embossing folder with stamp pad ink, always place the ink on the side of the folder that has black writing on it. That is the raised side,  and it will give your project the best design and color. Place your card stock inside the folder with color on it,  and run through embossing machine. This is unlimited as to what choice of colors you make. It is very pretty when you use several colors on one folder. 5.  Add a negative space over your embossed area by using a ticker cards stock or several pieces of the same cut. I like to use this as the space for my sentiment. So I punch or die cut a design out lets say a rectangle about four inches all around. I cut it out of some particle board or heavy card stock. Next Place it inside the embossing folder on top of the card stock I am embossing. After embossing remove your cut outs and it will leave a smooth negative space/design there for you to stamp your image! Please email  your questions, or leave a post for me! Happy Stamping and Happy Thanksgiving!

Holiday Nifty Gifty!

These little treats are so much fun to make and they would be great teacher and neighbor gifts. Top left is tree shaped(triangle) box die cut. It has a hanger on the top to add to your tree or a package. I want to make some extras for my little grand daughters to have to hang on the tree and find the chocolate kisses inside! Each one is decorated with designer paper and wooden snowflakes. The snowman hat or penguin hat is also full of chocolates and the designs were stamped and die cut with set from Holiday catty. The snowman is designed around tic tacks and great for your gifts at work or to carry in your bag. Email me and I will send you a list of supplies and cost! And yes I will make full sets for you to save you time! Hugs Debbie 979-255-0377

Christmas And Bling ... can not go wrong !

Can you believe that we are so close to the Holidays? Here is one of my fun Christmas cards for you to get some inspiration from and get to stamping!  THIS is the new poinsettia stamp set and punch a great bundle! I loved making the flowers! On the inside is an ornament with stickles and designer paper and bling ribbon. The sentiment on the card makes the closure to help hold the flaps closed. This is a larger card and gives you lots of room to write your Holiday Sentiment on the inside. I folded the full size card stock in white, to meet in the middle and form the door flaps. Send me a sample of your cards and your stamp orders! debsegler@gmail.com
Happy Stamping and Holiday Blessings!

Birds on a Wire

Sometimes I feel like I am walking on a high wire and about to fall off, then a wonderful blessing sweeps me back up and gives me strength and understanding, while reminding me to stand strong in my faith and the realization that the Lord is always taking steps right along with me.  I encourage you to count your blessings today, feel God's Love and your day will start perfectly! I pray for you to feel peace and comfort and the powerful self control of faith!
This card looks so much better in person but I am having trouble with my camera. I made this card at our stamp day with Betty and she designed this one. The chocolate ribbon and brown iced designer paper gives it the feel of a victorian time. The flowers have glitter on them and they really glow in the light. I am getting a few holiday cards made and its going to be that time of the year soon! Blessings for your day, and make time to pray! Hugs Debbie

Baby Thank You Card

Hello stamping Divas! I made this card for me daughter in law Ashley's baby shower.  I made her a gift of 15 cards to send to her friends for the gifts she received. I loved the little elephant with a pop out ear. The stripes at the bottom are washi tape and gave the card some extra color. It is simple yet very cute and hit the mark. I bet you have some wonderful people in your life that would love to get a group of cards that they could mail out! In the days of social media I love to get a real card in the mail! Hugs Enjoy! debsegler@gmail.com

BIRDS N TREES IF YOU PLEASE

When we do good things for others
We do good things for God.

Hello my great stamping and crafting friends! A little birdie posted this quote and I love it, so I am sending it on to you, for you thought for the day! The trees are about to show us how to let dead things go! That is so true, we often carry so much old leaves around with us that we can barely lift the basket! We forgive others and we need to forgive ourselves! Hugs debsegler@gmail.com

The top card is so elegant and simple yet beautiful! This was a card we made with the three stampsters! The bird is a stamping up stamp and is so very fun to add the focus on your cards.
I loved all of the different colors and elements that give it a color burst! There is another little bird on the inside to greet the card holder and send a message of happy hello! I colored the bird with markers and used white gel pen to put a dot in the birds eye. Then I added the four orange dots on the side and it just seemed to bring the design together.  If you do not have a bird there are several beautiful ones in the new Holiday Catty. Look on line and email me what you need! 979-255-0377

The scene stamping is one of my favorite types of stamping. It gives me a feel of true "ARTISTRY"
I love to use different types of inks and paints to color them with.  I get the feel of painting with a paint brush! I used copics, and stampin up inks, and daubers and sponges to get the sky and the front path to look like is was watercolored. I masked the sun with a sticky note while I painted the entire card. Then I used a makeup foamy to add the color, next I take a small end of the sponge and add a little streak of brown across the sun as if it is setting behind a cloud. The photo really doesn't give it the full  effect but it is so cool in person. The trick is to not try to make your sun or moon look like a circle out of a coloring book! I make it wavey around the edges on purpose. It gives it a more true to life look.  The trees, grass, and barn have puff snow on them! They look like they have been dusted with an early snow fall.

I hope this inspires you to get your stuff out and get to making project! Please contact me for the new Holiday stamps and supplies for those Holiday Projects!

HO HO HO Stocking

This card is to get you thinking about the Holidays! I always think I am going to get my act together early but I never do! So when my friend Betty designed this card I was up for it! We are so blessed to have some really great time together and our friend Lorna joins in and before you know it we are laughing, smiling, and designing cards! We all realize the Lord has blessed us by brining us together, to support each other! The cards we design are the icing on the cake of our fellowship!

The stocking is colored in with markers, and then I used liquid pearls to accent all the lines, which gives it a very dimensional look. The yarn and the bling gives it just the finishing touch.  I framed the card with red and green card stock.  It is very festive and bright colors that get you in the spirit for the Holiday! Have fun! contacted me to order your stamps debsegler@gmail.com

Stained Glass Holiday

This is a retired stamp, but it is so wonderful to color and I think it turned out very nice. I used copics and then I embossed the background in holiday swirls, that are difficult to see in this picture. It is a large card and will go to someone very special for Christmas! Not to early to get started on the Holidays! Enjoy!

Dragons that FLY!

Who could not love this wonderful stamp set? Want one? debsegler@gmail.com  I am having a blast making cards with this set!  The bottom of the card is placed on the brick wall embossing folder( I know you need that too!( 979-255-0377) Embossed brick on light brown card stock and ice raised side of folder with chocolate ink right onto folder. This fills in the outline of the bricks very nicely!
The chocolate brown card stock is a small strip to place the stamped image on. The card base is on white card stock and you mask the sides off with two sticky notes. Don't get crazy over measuring,  I just placed the two on the right side and then moved over about two inches and place the two on the left side. Then with a dauber or rubber sponge use green and yellow inks to add the burst of color. I then colored on the flowers stamps with coral, on the flowers, light green on the leaves and accented leaves with dark green. Huff on the stamp to give it moisture back, and then stamp bottom left of card. I then use fine point black marker to add center, dots around centers and veins in my leaves. Stamp the dragons that fly, where you like them and add the Friend sentiment and three bling dots.  Hope your flying off to create right now! Hugs

Friends are the best!

This card was stamped with a stampin up set from the new catalogue.( Awesomely artistic139950 Clear $20.00 page125),  I love the flowers and leaves and the light airy feel of the set. I used a dauber to add color for the background. I used four colors and went from dark to light, not trying to make any specific design, just add color for the background on white card stock. I then stamped my panels to get three different looks all in black ink. The leaves in the middle are in craft white, on the base of the card. I framed my panels in black card stock.  Yours can look totally different depending on the shapes you use! Have fun!

Just a REMINDER!

This was from one of my friends on Pinterest and I really love it, so I am sharing it with you today!  It seems we all get so caught up in our have to do's, that we often forget some of the best opportunity that we have to help encourage others.  When I do make the time for others, my spirit soars and I feel that my time has been well spent! That is why I enjoy sending cards and teaching other to make them. Just a reminder to all that I LOVE YOU! Hugs Debbie

Mystery Lady

Here is one more of my fun zentangle /doodling ladies. I loved her hat, and she just seems to be a part of my doodling.  I used the same stain inks and a dauber to apply the color to my stamped lady. Next I doodled designs around to fit the spaces that I had open. This time I added a sticker to the right side.  You could write you own words but I do not have a nice hand! Hope you get some fun inspiration today! Hugs

Meet Lady Zenifer!

This lady was a work of therapy and art! And I must say she is much more vivid and beautiful in person. This new zentangles and doodling technique has become one of my favorite! I am seeing designs in everything as I move through my day! My friends and I joke we are wearing Zen clothing as we each show up to stamp in our bright colors and lovely prints! I have been finding great patterns, and it has been a very relaxing and challenging art for me.  I took a large dauber and applied the stain inks to the base of the tag, In several different colors, I used red, yellow and green on the bottom right. (Green shows better in person) I also added some white gel pen to accent spots and some bling was my final touch of color. Want to doodle? Contact me for classes! debsegler@gmail.com and new Christmas catty is out full of fun stamping supplies! 979-255-0377

Zentangles FUN!!

My fun group of stamp ladies went and took a zentangles class and we had such a blast! We made tags and now we are off to the ZENTANGLES RACES!!  We stamped the face or object of focus and then used larger sized dauber to add the stain color to background.  Next we divided our tag into section of different shoes. ( follow the lines of spaces that are empty) We drew in our designs and then accented with white gel marker.  I have not been able to stop since I started this new fun technique.  I will be having classes soon let me know if your up for a fun new technique! debsegler@gmail.com

Special Folds for Circle Punch Flower

This flowers technique is very fun to do and once you get the hang of it, very easy too! I punched with a small circle punch and then iced with a sponge or dauber with pink ink.  Ice both sides of the circle as it will show when you fold the flower petals. First fold the left side over the right about one third of the petal, then fold left side the same way, next you fold back the outside edge of each petal so that they meet in the middle.  A single circle is used on some of the stems and then for larger flower use several folds together.  Hint make your fold and hold it up to my picture, then you can compare.  I can see this down in all colors and variated inks too. Best of luck on your design!

These cards just make me smile! The designer paper and bird stamp is from stamping up and they have so many new beautiful ones in the new catalogue. Please email me if you want to order! debsegler@gmail.com .    I colored the birds with markers and added a white gel pen dot for the eye.
They are each perched on a pretty ribbon, with a sentiment of choice added to the card. They are each backed with colored card stock for a frame and the base card is a yellow solid card stock. The birds are on pop dots to give them some dimension. Hope you have some more bird fun too!

An INCH AT A TIME You don't have to move a mountain !

Hello stamp Divas! I have been on the run this summer and not posting much. I think most of you have been busy too, as I have not been getting any feedback. Today is a lucky day for the first three that respond to my blog by email or comments.  I will send you a surprise gift in the mail so be sure to include your mailing address and email!  This card was one of my faves this summer!  I saw one like it on Pinterest, but I could not find the stamp set even though I know I have it!  I have several rolling bags to unpack from retreats, and I am moving slow as usual. I mixed two sets to design this card. I stamped my design on the white card stock, then I stamped the two large flowers again along with the sentiment on another white piece. I punched the turquoise with my one inch punch that looks like a postage stamp outline.  Next I punched the stamped flowers with a one inch square punch making sure that I got some of the center of the flower in the punch.  I used the center of the flower to line up my design and placed them on pop dots to attach to my card. I used a glitter pen and outlined the details in each flower, and it looks beautiful, it is not showing up in the photo. Each inch design has some bling on it too. This card is so pretty and I will find a special friend to share it with.

I was feeling a little blue yesterday and I found an old church directory from College Station Texas. I called several ladies that I had not heard from in five years! One of them had just had her 100th birthday! She is just the most wonderful, full of life, lady I know. She made me feel so good and lifted up, and I had called to do the same for her! She reminded me how loved I am and how God is so great to us! It gave me a day full of love and smiles to get to visit with her! So, here is your assignment for the next week. Pick two people that you have not contacted for a while and make them a special card. Get it ready to mail and then call them too! It will bring you such a boost that you will make it a habit! Special Fold Tag Punch

I so enjoy different designs and different folds on cards. This is a tag punch, folded halfway to the middle and then the flap is folded back, and you get the design from the underside showing on top. It is pretty out of solids but really pops with double sided papers!  The different papers give this card a totally different look!  There is a flower bling added to the center of the flower The background of the card has been stamped with versa mark ink with a swirl design. This adds some depth to the project! There are two strands of bling coming out from behind the flower that gives an additional bang to the card!  Hope this will give you something to make today. We are having some rain off the tropical storms so it is a great day to play in your crafts! email me at debsegler@gmail.com and send me a picture of your card and if I post it you get a bag of stampin up freebies! Hugs have fun!

Little Flowers WOW!

I had this card from a ladies blog and sorry that I do not remember her name but I really liked the elegance, and colors! I love layers and the way she added the ribbon over the scalloped piece gave it another focal point!  The flowers have been stamped and cut out and put on with pop dots so they stand out and give the card dimension.  I am working on gifts of card sets and this one will add a very nice WOW! I hope it inspires you to get to stamping! Hugs debsegler@gmail.com for questions or stampinup orders!

THINGS MOTHER TAUGHT ME!

The pink iris flowers are a great reminder of my mother. She loved them and always had several bunches of them in her yard! She was a special lady that could grow anything! It was like magic! She could pinch a small piece off of a plant and before you could blink she would have a huge pot blooming on her front porch! She taught me to love gifts of nature and she noticed them everywhere. She could get as much pleasure out of a short ride to the store as others do on a long vacation trip.  She pointed out every little detail of God's designs and stored them away in her memory, then she would pull them out later and talk about them. Her flowers were always much larger and brighter than others you would see and they brought everyone lots of enjoyment!
The flowers  are colored with some light, and even white spaces so that you can really see the variegation of colors! Today stamp any flower and send it to someone you haven't thought of or talked to in a while! Hugs Debbie

SPRING FLING CARD THING!

The weather has been so pretty that I have been out running all weekend so I found a couple of cards in my stash that I though you might like to see.  They are very different, and both have spring flowers on them.  The top card has a very fun technique as the background stripes on it. You can really go crazy with this technique,  and it adds so much to your cards and scrapbook pages. You use blue painters tape and lay the sticky side down on your ink pad, run gently with your fingers so that it grape the color. Then you put it onto your card base and rub so that it adheres and deposits the ink.  The top card has red, blue and green strips from the tape. I then added wash tape at a different angel.  The designer paper with stars was punched with stampin up label punch, and the cut out flowers were placed over the top. This card has a fourth of July feel!  The next card was another one I made with Betty, and she loves to brayer! She is much better with it, but I do love the background look you get when you use it.  The top of the card is brayered with a light blue ink and the rest was a light green. The flowers were stamped on top of the color and then colored with stampin up markers.  The base of the card also has blue rolled onto it.  Each base is backed in black, and placed onto a half page, size card base. The ribbon is sheer and goes under the tope design. The little bird at the top carries your eye upward and gives another focal point.  Get your Card Thing going and design today! Blessings Debbie

SWAMPED WITH Friendship!

How fun and different is this scene? It is Betty's design and really was fun to color! The left edge of the card was made with stampin up fancy scissors that cut in little strips.  It is stamped on shinny white paper and colored with copic markers. I love the artistic feel and look of this the of design.  I have two great friends that love this Louisiana look!  Hope you like it too! Please leave your comment! Hugs! Need supplies let me know! debsegler@gmail.com  979-255-0377

Todays Blessings FRINDS< FRIENDS< FRIENDS!

This is my stamp friend Lorna's design, and I really like the layers! We had a fun day together and our friend Nancy joined us for a day of fellowship, laughter, and lots of catching up!  My friends bless me so very much, and I can call them after not seeing them for over five years and they come to my rescue too! THANKS TO JORA AND BRITT, FOR THEIR HELP!!!
This card feature squares and black card stock as the frames.  A number of designer papers would really be fun to try on this card too! For the corners I cut the small square in half.  Share this with your friends! I have discovered that many of us make cards but were are not good at sending them out, so for Mothers day make your friends a gift of 8-10 cards with envelopes and stamps! With a special card for them on top! They will be WOWED!

Today is the day that the Lord has made rejoice in it!

Spring is in the air and as I sat on the patio this morning and thanked the Lord for our beautiful world,
I saw several little birds! There has been so much rain that our pond is over flowed and the turtles are everywhere! When coloring birds, don't be afraid for them to look whimsical and fun. Everything doesn't have to be true to life. I like to use at least three colors and often accent with a white gel pen. I also like to use a black gel pen to add in feathers and definition.  When I see the birds, it brings me such good memories of my family that has gone to be with the Lord. Both sets of our parents loved nature, and really appreciated the beauty and gifts of it, especially birds. When my husband's mother was very ill she told me she was ready to go sing and fly with the birds! It has given me a gift of love and memories that I so treasure! When I hear or see a bird I think of all of them, and say hello back, so the birds can carry them the message in Heaven! The flowers card is punched into four squares and then mounted on an accent color, that forms a frame around each piece.  The leaves are stamped on the white card base and the flowers are on pop dots, to give the card a dimensional look. The pink at the bottom is wash tape and the sentiment was added over the top.   I hope todays cards inspire your creative side!  Contact me for stamps and all needed project products 979-255-0377 or debsegler@gmail.com

Watch the Birdie!

I love all kinds of birds and this one is so wonderful to color. I used stampin up markers and copics to color this and it really is vivid and bright. This stamp was a stamp friends, that I have not stamped with for over a year.  It is amazing the fun and friendship and good times built around the art of cards! Happy stamping day I am off to play!

Rainy Day Projects

It is pouring down rain, high winds, and flash flood warning so what a great time to stay in and make cards. This little bird stamp is one of my faves. I zoomed in on the background in green so you can see that it is dry embossed and gives the card some great texture.  The stamped images are on a large scalloped circle of cream card stock. Get your craft on and design something today with texture!

The base of the card is a 12 by 12 solid card stock, you can use two sided as well! Please contact me for me directions! Thanks to Betty for her creative take on this card!
