SPRING FLING CARD THING!

The weather has been so pretty that I have been out running all weekend so I found a couple of cards in my stash that I though you might like to see.  They are very different, and both have spring flowers on them.  The top card has a very fun technique as the background stripes on it. You can really go crazy with this technique,  and it adds so much to your cards and scrapbook pages. You use blue painters tape and lay the sticky side down on your ink pad, run gently with your fingers so that it grape the color. Then you put it onto your card base and rub so that it adheres and deposits the ink.  The top card has red, blue and green strips from the tape. I then added wash tape at a different angel.  The designer paper with stars was punched with stampin up label punch, and the cut out flowers were placed over the top. This card has a fourth of July feel!  The next card was another one I made with Betty, and she loves to brayer! She is much better with it, but I do love the background look you get when you use it.  The top of the card is brayered with a light blue ink and the rest was a light green. The flowers were stamped on top of the color and then colored with stampin up markers.  The base of the card also has blue rolled onto it.  Each base is backed in black, and placed onto a half page, size card base. The ribbon is sheer and goes under the tope design. The little bird at the top carries your eye upward and gives another focal point.  Get your Card Thing going and design today! Blessings Debbie

Card Making Therapy

This card lets the die cuts do the work! The first layer is flat and the next one is on dimensionals.  I love the elegant style and this two...
