Importance of Friends of Faith!

During this Holiday season I have been so blessed by the love of friends and family! As I take my journey through life, I realize more each day, the super importance of friends of faith! They seem to have this built in radar to contact me and encourage me at just the right time of my need!   I had met two ladies from Africa three years ago, they were stranded at a store and the elderly mother was too weak to walk any further. Her daughter was trying to console her and they both looked so lost and scared.  I saw them sitting on a bench outside of the store when I went in and they were still there when I came back out. So, I went over and spoke to them and asked them if I could help by giving them  a ride somewhere. They both said together Thank you Lord!  That was where our journey of friendship began. I took them to eat and we visited and shared about our lives and families and we became instant friends! They were staying with relatives in the area and I often went and got them took them shopping, to the doctor, or to just have some time visiting.  Every time they would get into my car, we would all hold hands. and they would pray for me and mine and thank the Lord for us meeting that very first day outside of the store! The daughter has since gotten her nursing license and I am able to say that I was some help in that!  She has since moved to Florida and I had not heard form her in almost a year.  Then yesterday my phone rang with a number I did not recognize, and it was her cherry voice, with her beautiful accent and she said Hello my friend and sister in Christ!  We had a wonderful conversation and she said she wanted to again thank me for stopping to help them and not walk away like so many others, that had just passed them by. She thanked me for all of my goodness and kindness and we both again claimed that the Lord had given us the gift of love and friendship to have for a lifetime. We visited and caught up on each others families and she as always encouraged me to continue to help others.   That is what I am passing this story on to all of you that read my blog. I am sending cards today to many friends and family that I have not heard from in ages! And hoping to share some love and encouragement.  Everyday we all pass by someone that needs a smile and a gesture of love and encouragement! So, this is your assignment if you accept it! Make about five pretty cards with a  friendly greeting on them and carry them in your purse over then next few week. When you go to the grocery store, doctor , work wherever make it a point to stop and give your greeting card to someone and wish them well! I have my business card inside mine and I will tell them to contact me and we can become email buddies.  The we can share our love of our card making craft, and the love others all at the same time!  Let then share on my blog the stories of goodness and friendship that comes your way! Send me your address and I will send you my friendship of faith card in the mail! Hugs to all ! Enjoy my cards! Debbie  debsegler@gmail.com

Many Blessings of Love and Family For Thanksgiving!

Simple but elegant dry embossed background with die cut white stamped roses and Merry Christmas.

These next three cards were made a while back but came up in my search and I just love all of them, here you get a little preview of some card making fun!  Die cut leaves and backgrounds and the flowers colored with copics to get a beautiful look of colors. The dark navy is a shinny that gives the card even more depth.

This pink glitter card was so fun to make at a Heartfelt class. I left with more glitter on me than on the card! Gold embossed background stamp of words then layered the pink designer paper on bottom of the card the die cut was glittered and the ribbon colored with markers and glitters before adding the little die cut flowers.

This corner fold card is a fun way to get to show off some different colored pattered paper. Simple cut your top piece longer in the shape of an envelope flap and turn it back over the top of your card. Then add your bling and decorations for a a very cute and different design.

Die cuts and fun with add ons! This book fold was die cut and all the extras were added on the top to give it that very special look for a special friend!

Holiday ice skates and christmas paper is just right for this card! The bottom has a lace die cut across the bottom with holiday add ons.

Penguin fun card is bright with lots of silver glitter and blue shine! Snow flakes and bling gives it the feel of ice and snow.

Scene card is one of my favorite types of stamping! I love the sun going down over the Christmas pines and the little river in the front is reflecting all of the scene.

This Santa is smiling cause he knows who has been naughty and NICE! He is great of tags for presents too! I hop your inspired to do some stamping soon. I am off to my studio right now to stamp with Lorna! Hugs And Happy Thanks Giving!!

Share the Joy Of Cards!

This fun card was made on a stamp retreat with Lorna and Carolyn, and Freddie! We had such a wonderful time and I really need another retreat soon! The women are really kicking up their heels cause they are teachers and like me are counting the days until school is out for Holidays!
Quick and easy snowman, makes a darling card by using large circle cut out, or punched, and neck scarf! He works beautifully in so many colors and is such fun card to place on a gift just add To and From stamps!

Made these cards with my stamina divas Lorna and Betty! The little deer is set in the middle of a favorite die folder that embosses the circle and then we stamped the diet in the oval. Using a variety of paper and some bling also give this little card a great flexibility!

The embossed card in a window die cut has been iced with color to give it the outside snow and cold look. The little red bird is sticker that has decided to nest in the warmth of the window. Hope that you are starting your Holiday fun and getting ready to share the Joy of Cards with your friends! Hugs to all! debsegler@gmail.com  I will order your supplies jut email me!

This card has a combination of die cuts, punched out designs, and designer paper,  to achieve a special extra large card for someone very special!

The punch out circles in two shades and then stamped flowers on the front, with two colors of butterflies and some flowers bling.  The embossed white background gives a texture to the card that is very pleasing to the eye and add to the overall design.

This is a very elegant yet easy card to make. The background looks like and outside park scene and the die cuts gate and fence is added over the top . Miracles Found In Clovis New Mexico!

Hello my sweet friend and loved ones! Rusty and I are home and feeling so blessed by all of the love, messages, and calls! Rusty had some very serious health issues and I had to put him back in hospital in New Mexico where we were visiting our new grandson and family!  He lost lots of blood and had to have surgery while we were there, but the Lord placed us with a super doctor and nurses and hospital staff that really took care of us like family!  And thanks to all of them we arrived home this morning around 2:00am safely.  Several MIRACLES! HAPPENED DURING OUR ADVENTURE!!   THE FIRST WAS OUT NEW GRANDSON HOLDEN DAVID SEGLER ARRIVED AND HE IS SO WONDERFULLY AND HEAVENLY MADE!  When he was checking out of the hospital Rusty was being checked in, and there was a Dr Peinko that was a specialist that took him under his wings and gave him the upmost care he needed!! After four days in the hospital Rusty is home doing much better and will see a specialist here tomorrow.  So that was the 2nd MIRACLE!! Which also involved us driving 8 hours home and arriving safe and sound ! ( 3rd Miracle)  When Rusty was at his very worst in hospital I was asked to leave the room and I was so scared and worried!!
I was about to pass out in the hall when a care taker came by and grabbed me and sat me down and took specail care of me.! Her Name is Hilda she began to Pray with me and reminded me that God was with us and had Rusty in the best place for the best care!  She gave me such strength and relief that I was able to make it peacefully, through another tough time!   Hilda is a special Angel to us and she came back several times to check on us and continue to pray with us!! She and I are now sisters and will keep in touch forever! There were many nurses, aides and helpers that all went over the top with their care and love for us! The story of our journey seemed to spread like wildfire and three preachers from Clovis heard about us and came to visit and pray too!  Our SUPER HERO NURSE STEPHANIE
just became like one of the family as well!  She has called me this morning to make sure we are ok and given me more support and guidance!  With all of the negative news these last few weeks, I just have to let you know that Our Lord is every where, with many good and faithful people helping others to feel and experience his love and care! The landscape in New Mexico is not so great but the people there are!   And all of our friends, family and Little Elm High School Family have continued to check on us and pray as well! There are just too many to mention them all but WE LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK!!!   Thanks for everything! Debbie and Rusty!!
WELCOME HOLDEN DAVID SEGLER!

Stamping on the RUN!! Wonderful Therapy Your Way!

This dress is a die cut and I made it on an adventure trip with stamp friend Lorna! We had a weekend of stamping and retreating and boy do I wish I could have another one soon!  I don't have much time to stamp as I have gone back to teaching! It has turned into quite an adventure in itself! I HAVE BEEN VERY BLESSED BY WONDERFUL CO WORKERS AND MY SWEET HUSBAND RUSTY, WHO'VE SUPPORTED ME ALONG THE WAY!   I have some wonderful students and some that don't know they are wonderful yet but I hope to teach them they are! I treated myself to a Saturday of stampin fun and it was great therapy. I am up this morning praying for all my loved ones and stamp friends and just had to post a few cards to help you "FEEL WONDERFUL" too!

This little card is your homework, see that I am giving homework! Take a circle punch or die cut and start with it as the base of your design, add sentiment in the middle and stamp your design in center of base card then add circle one the top, matching paper, to the bottom of the card and a beautiful ribbon finishes the work of art!  It would be so easy to turn this card into a Christmas design!

Use two coordinating designer papers and fold the corner over inside of the card to give a cute new look to your design!

Had to have color therapy time! Take some time and just color several images and turn them into a beautiful card !
Sending you hugs and smiles across the miles and lots of stamping fun for everyone!  See the new Holiday Catty on stampin up site and let me order for you! Free gift with a $50.00 order for new customers! debsegler@ gmail.com
