Ice Cream and Cake!

I need to get some more cards uploaded so I can show you more pretty things to make! I am very excited as today one of my friends that I made in Portland Oregon, is coming for a visit. We met four years back, and have kept in touch all of this time.  That is not surprising as she is one of those Head Start People!  Her talents are many and she uses them to help others to better their lives. She has some relatives that live close to me and one of them is gravely ill, so please help me pray for God's healing touch and peace!  We hope to have some fun times and we will be stamping and making her a stack of cards to take back as memories from her visit. Have a blessed day stamping!

Simple and Nice!

A very simple card can carry a big statement!  Both cards have been decorated with an embossing folder and that also adds texture, color, and depth where you need it.  The dots on the purple ribbon paper trim give it the look of being stitched, yet a white gel marker was used,  and it easily does the trick!  The next card is made from a set in the new catalogue coming out in July, so get ready it is full of beautiful new things that you must have! Shop me at debsegler.stampinup.net.

Birds, Birds Birds!

I have been feeding the birds again, and they love fresh oranges! I save my stale bread , chips, and cereal and crush it for them in a plastic bag. When I put it in the feeder even the ducks come into the yard for lunch! I love this color combination and this edge punch adds so much to the card. I am flying off to see my sister today so see ya soon!

"Love of Mother and Friends!"

This morning I was reading the blog from A&M Church of Christ in College Station and, there was a story about a young man that was lost and caught up in the every day struggles of life.  He was very angry and bitter and his life was falling apart! Then the Lord Blessed him with an elderly neighbor that was not put off with his unkind words and actions.  The elderly neighbor began mowing his yard when he noticed that the young man had a broken arm.  The young man still was rude and tried to push the Christian neighbor away.  Yet the elderly neighbor would not give up and continued to show the young man that a true Christian was solid and dependable as a friend and neighbor. The story touched my heart and made me again thankful for my Mother!  She is such a great example for me and continues to teach me the everlasting power of the Lord and the many blessing he has in store for us! This picture also has two of my very dear friends that have always encouraged me to be the best I can be!  So, I just wanted to remind all of you that the Lord is here for us, and he send us very special people to help us each step of the way! Thanks to all of you that have blessed me with friendship and Christian LOVE!  Debbie

Flowers and More Flowers!

I have enjoyed making flowers and the variety of styles is unlimited.  The top three flowers were made with the flower punch and stamp set. Simply use different designer paper, backgrounds with embossing folders, ribbons and decorative brads or button for centers, and you have a design that really pops off the card or scrapbook page! The last flower is one of our large die cuts, and we have several flowers, so go to debsegler.stampinup.net to order your supplies and remember the new catalogue comes out July First!

I can not make a bow! Then you can make a ribbon card accent!

There are so many cute ways to add ribbon onto your creations.  I learned how to make these at a retreat with other wonderful stampin'up ladies! We used the red sticky pages that are double sided and you simply cut the design and size you want to use.  You can twist the ribbon to form a tight shape or, loop the ribbon loosely to make your design. When using this technique you may also alternate the color and size of your ribbon to give your projects a great deal of texture and dimension.  This is a excellent way to use up all of the little pieces of ribbon you have saved.  Simply tie the ends together and twist them to form your design. Have fun!
