Butterfly flying off to Caldwell retreat!

I am off to the Caldwell stamp retreat with my group of stamping buddies.  I will be back next week and post fun projects for you too see.  I stamped with three different colors on the background of this card. Then I used the butterfly emboselet from stampin up for the three butterflies.  It is so cool it cuts and embosses them at one time. I used an edge punch and cut out the designer paper for the base of the card, and then added the sentiment over the top. I put some bling on the card and I really like the finished look!   Hope these cards inspire you to create! Blessings Debbie

Tag Punch Card

This tag punch card was a blast to make and you can go crazy with the designer paper you choose to use. This flower was punched with the small tag punch from stampin up.  You fold the right corner of the punched out tag, across the tag to the left corner. Then fold the edge of your first fold back to the right side edge so you can see the back side and get another design color or print from your paper.  Then I used a circle punch to glue the petals on to form the flower shape. I used versa mark to stamp the swirly leaves on the dark pink card stock for the base frame of my card. Then I use light pink for my card base. I added a little bling flower to the center of the card and it  gave it the finishing touch!

Blessings from my stamp friend!

This card was cut from a sizzix card base die cut. My stamp friend Debbie gave this die to me at one of our retreats.  It embosses and cuts out the card base.  It is so pretty and I sure have been blessed by her friendship too!   The bird and flowers on a branch were on a piece of designer paper and I love birds so it had to be cut out and made into card!  I added some bling to the center of the flowers for fun.  This card has a sentiment inside, but that was really the only stamping.  The card is cut on the fold so it folds over to make a full card base. You can use a die and place it on the edge of folded card stock. Leave at least 3/4 of and inch to make the hinge of your card.  Then cut it out and you will have a fold over card base.  Get busy and send me some pictures of your designs! debsegler@gmail.com

Sea Horse and Sea Shells

Hello my stamp and card creative friends! Yes, I have been out of town again, but back and trying to get caught up! I went to San Antonio to coaching school with my sweet husband, and we had a great time!  I got to visit with several friends and shop and enjoy some wonderful food and fun. We then came home by Huntsville and visited with our son Kyle and his wife Ashley. They have their first wedding anniversary coming up June 2nd.  I am getting ready to go to Caldwell with a group of five stamp buddies to a new retreat there for four days!  This card is one that my stamp friend Betty and I made a while back but I love this design, and will use the base design for a card at the Caldwell retreat.  I love the swirly background stamp, the die cut label in black and the colored die cut out of designer paper.  The sea life is stamped and cut out by hand and added onto the top of the label.  We added bling in black and silver on the swirls.  The very background of the card is designer paper with more swirls stamped on it and even though very little shows on the edges it gives the card a feel of deeper dimension.   The card base is black card stock and helps the design to pop even more.  This design could be used with a wide variety of stamps and pretty summer colors is what I plan to use at the retreat.  I will post the new sample soon!

Card Making Therapy

This card lets the die cuts do the work! The first layer is flat and the next one is on dimensionals.  I love the elegant style and this two...
