Butterflies Make Me SMILE! SO SEEK HIM DAILY!!

This card is so pretty and I copied it from laurascreativemoments.blogspot.  WOW I wish I could go take a few classes with her for sure! This is the swallow tail stamp from Stampin' Up! and she has made it in several colors.  She has used a sponge or dauber to accent her paper with brown ink to give a aged or antiqued look to her cards. I am so excited to try to make one of these that I had to share it with all of you!  I am going to begin a new phase only blog and I am happy to announce my first guest host/designer!  I am inviting friends to help get our praise on and share our uplifting stories and a card design!  My first new host will be Betty Schaub! She has been dear friend for five years and she is a very talented artist~! Betty and I were brought together at a time that we both needed a good friend and the Lord helped us to grow through him! Blue Bird Sing to ME! When you hear it sing remember I am THINKING OF YOU!

Hello my sweet stamp friends! I had a very blessed weekend with my family and got to enjoy my grand baby girls! I am so blessed by my children and their wives! We are beyond lucky to have them wanting us to visit them and spend time.  I came home feeling like I had been to Church, and had a counseling session! My daughter in law Katherine and I have wonderful talks and visits, guided by the Lord and we just seem to run out of time! I totally honor and respect her insights and she is very encouraging and is willing to share her heart and soul with me and when she does, I grow in my walk and she inspires me beyond belief! I have been floundering around since my retirement wanting to do something more purposeful and worth while, to share my love for the Lord and my talents! She too is searching for a meaningful outreach, in which she can give to others and grow through her works.  So we are praying for guidance and support.  I will be her helper in any task she undertakes, as I know she will be such an inspiration and godsend to others! If your like me and feel a little out of sorts and empty, choose a friend or relative to team up with to work on a project for others! That is when you feel the best about yourself, when you are giving in his name and glory!~  Choose a friend that mirrors your goals, and type of character traits that you desire, and she will keep you on track and be there to lean on when you need support!   Thanks to my Katherine I came home inspired and energetic and excited to look for and find the right spot to share and sing his praise and love! This week when you hear the birds sing, please let that trigger your memory that you need to sing to others, that need your kind and honest words, and love! 

The bird card is stamped on cream card stock and I did not color him in this time. I layered dark blue under the banner and then use the dark blue as the card base.  The cream under the banner is an embossed strip that I used a new embossing folder that my sweet friend Nancy gave me and I just loved the results.  Nancy is another one of those wonderful women that shares and gives with such a good heart!  I stamped the green leaves and blue flowers in a random pattern to make my own designer paper to place on the top of my card, and I used the extra strip on the inside on top of cream paper so that I can write my sentiment there! The pearls were a gift from my stamping friend Lorna and they just add the right little pop and focal point on my card! I will use this card as an encouragement to a very special friend this week! So get your stamp supplies out and make a card for several people that you know would be so surprised to hear form you! Need Some SPRING!

This card was inspired by another stamper and I changed it to fit my supplies. The paper is a grey stamped on white ( background) with a little sheen to it.  I only had one small sheet in my paper swap bag. It is from stampin up and is made for you to color it with daubers or whatever to design your own fit.  So I used a dauber with orange ink and then only colored one side of the card at an angle. The card is framed in black card stock and I added the orange colored frame around the sentiment.  I also added a yellow butterfly sticker that I had in my stash! Winter on the Pond!

Hello my stamp friend! It is that crazy time of year for me so my post have been few! Going to basketball games twice a week and just doing life has me on the run!  EVERY HOUSE IS BUILT BY SOMEONE BUT GOD IS THE BUILDER OF EVERYTHING. Hebrews 3:4 I saw this verse on another stampers blog and it really hit home with me today! My honey is at work( been spoiled he was off for Holidays)  and I am alone in this big house listening to the winds howl over the pond, and even the screens on the windows are rattling! The heater has not had time to catch up with the cold as it was 80 yesterday and 34 now! I feel very isolated and alone sometimes as I am sure you do too. I am thinking this type of day would make a great scene in a horror movie! LOL!  I open the blinds and look out, and there is a flicker of sun light reflecting off a metal cross on my fence, made from wire and wood by son over 15 years back.  The sight of the cross and the memory, turned the day totally around to the fact, that God has built this day for me, and it is really worth me making the most of it!  My son Tres has a creative nature and loves to build and work with his hands~! I think he got that from me as I love the same and I am always trying to craft something! Why today did I see the cross my son made, on the fence that has been there for over five years! God built it for me, to remind me that we are never alone, and never in need of a project to do, as many need to hear how wonderful the Lord's works of art are!  The very nature of being able to take a negative and turn or build it into a positive is another blessing I have received! I only had to open the blind and there was my motivation for the days journey.  So, what will I do with the uplifting experience? I am sharing it with you and hopping that you use it to "BUILD SOMETHING" . Call a friend or family member and tell them how much you love them or miss them. Call do not text, it will make a stronger impact that you took that time! I am off to my stamp studio to build some cards to send to friends that need a boost! I always feel better when making or doing for others!  My youngest son Kyle came to visit last night and went to his Dads basketball game, and then we had dinner together. He is a college football coach and is out visiting recruits and he always makes the time to drop by if he is in the area.  His visit always  mean so much to us,

and it gives us such a boost to show him off to our friends! He builds my spirits up with his love, and honors me with a call to let me know he is in safe when he is traveling!  The Lord has built me a family where all of the men, work with young men, to help them build character, life skills, and an aggressive zest for life through sports.  Here is a card for you today enjoy!  This card is by Michelle Zindorf go to her blog and see her wonderful work. This bird round card was very fun to color and I cut the round base out using a die cut. I made this card with my stamp friends a while back and that always makes the stamping more fun to have them here to stamp with me! I hope you feel insured to create and Build today! 

Lovely As A Tree

I know there is a glare on this card front, but I had to share with you my after Christmas Thank You card. I am off upstairs to play and make a few special thank you cards to send! This is the best stamping up set ever!  The bottom half of the card is stamped on velum and colored with daubers and sponges to get the blue water and sky look.  You then tear the velum across the bottom and flip the color side down and glue it to your scene of trees stamped on card stock. I will try to post my card I make today for you too! Getting back in the card swing! Have Fun!   We had a very blessed Holiday with our children and grand babies, and I again feel the many blessings of the Holiday and the many gifts from GOD!

Blue Bird

I have found some more bird cards and had to share with you. I love to color the birds and like to use watercolor pencils, and copic markers.  I enjoy being able to go from light to darks in the coloring and give them a some true to life feel.  I have had some large geese on my pond and they are so beautiful! They honk when the sun comes up every morning . I save all of my old bread and vegetable peels and feed them they get so excited to swim over to me and I love to watch them in the water.  I hope this gives you some inspiration to stamp some birds today!

A Little Bird Told Me

Hello my stamp friends! I hope this finds you blessed and enjoying the many blessings of the Holiday season!  You have to look close but there is a little red breasted bird in the lower left corner of this card!  I posted it for several reasons on of which is that birds bring me such gifts of Love and Joy and uplift my spirits when I see them and hear them sing! My sweet mother - in - law Mary Lake loved birds and always had many feeders out for them.  Now when I see a bird or a pair of them it reminds me of her and Big Daddy and my parents as well as they loved birds too! I feel like they are watching over our family and reminding us of Gods many miracles of animals!  We found some darling birds for our granddaughters that sing and whistle and play over twenty songs. They will be so much fun to enjoy on Christmas.
