Canvas Painting On Cards!

This is a new type of technique that I have been learning. It is really fun and appeals to the canvas painting need I have. I have taken some canvas painting classes over the years and I still have a looooong way to go. This technique is fun and my stamp pals and I are having a blast with this style of cards. We are using scene stamps and then coloring with chalks, markers, powders and ink pads. We are mixing everything to get that natural "Nature Look" on our projects. Let me know what you think.

New At Stampin' Up

Dear Friends:

Over the years, stamping fans have raved about the beautiful coordinating products designed by Stampin’ Up! to help them create amazing projects quickly and easily. Some of the obvious favorites are the coordinating inks, card stock, and embellishments or stamp sets with coordinating punches.

With the release of the new Annual Catalog, Stampin’ Up! went even further by creating whole groups of coordinating products that you can use to stamp, die cut, punch, emboss, and add paper piercing! One of the products generating a lot of buzz is the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack (#126187). This set of 3 templates (6” x 6” each) helps you paper pierce a variety of coordinating shapes precisely or paper-pierce your own custom shapes using a grid. The template designs coordinate with stamps, Framelits, Edgelits, and punches. So RUN! Don't walk! To my online store and get yours today!

BLESSINGS FROM GOD!!!!!

How can you even begin to describe the blessings we have received this month? First HOLLIS LAKE SEGLER ARRIVED ON JUNE 1st.  She is the most beautiful baby girl that looks just like her Nanny! When I look at her and her new parents I can surely see God's love and the miracle of a new life! Tres and Katherine you did an excellent job and thank you for sharing it all with us!

The next blessing was on June 2nd, Kyle and Ashley were married in Sugar Land Texas.  The wedding was wonderful and we all had so much fun celebrating their new start as a couple! Thanks to the many friends and family that joined us in this great time of our lives!  We now have two new girls in our family, and could not be more happy and thankful to everyone who played any part in our blessings and time of joy!

Make time for Fun!

Punch flowers are so much fun and quick to make.  We have so many great punches and the new catalogue coming out June 1st,  is full of great new products! Call me to host a show and earn free gifts from the new catalogue. 979-255-0377 or debsegler@gmail.com.
I have been so busy and having a great time with my stamp friends! We have been learning new techniques and painting on our cards! This card reminds me how important our friends are to us and how much we need to make time for each other!
Black embossing powder really adds a pop and focal point to your cards. Made this a while back with my stamp friend Betty and still love it! We have embossing powder in a variety of colors and even scented ones! It gives your card a fresh and fun scent when opened up! The pink card is a card from my stamp friend Denise.  I love the simple but elegant look of this card. I hope this gives you a burst of excitement and a need to get those stamps and card stock out to design some cards.  I have added a new step to my card making time.  I pick one project and mail it to someone each time I create and it feels so good to share my blessings! Send me your address and I will mail you a card!

Fun Cards

I had fun with this little banner line by using a twine for the line and adding shapes to the line.  I really enjoy the layers on cards and the different dimensional looks you can make.
Talk about having fun designing and giving cards,  this one really hit the mark! The new die cut makes the green layer and embosses the half cut out. That beautiful ribbon is pleated and comes in several colors for your projects.  I so love the bling and we all have to send bling to our friends!  I am off to San Antonio for a few days to visit some friends, and I am taking my travel stamp bag so I can make a few cards with them too! I think you know that I have a few stamp stores to visit and even a class to attend my first night there! I will try to post  you some new designs soon.  My friends that order the next two weeks get $5.00 off their order so be sure and get your orders in! Thanks and Happy Stamping!
This card was made by one of my stamping friends.  It is very fun and kid friendly.  I liked the colors together and wanted to show you some fun cards today!  My friend Cheryl from College Station is starting a card project at her Church.  I have packed her a box of cards to use and I am very pleased to get to share some of my fun and blessings with others. Get those old cards out and pass them along to others!

Button, Button, Who found the Button?

I took a picture of this card at a stamp friends house. I just found it hidden away and thought what a fun card.  It reminds me of one of the toys my boys had when they were toddlers.  Yes, I did hide it a few times when I could not take the noise!  The colors are very bright and fun! No buttons here but the little bling on the end gives the card the look of a real musical instrument. Hope you found some inspiration today!
Designer paper cut in small strips, makes a cute and simple flower to add top your card or scrapbook page. You can make a full flower or half of one and add a button for the center.  The button can be covered with designer papers or pretty ribbon to change the look and make new out of old.
I bet you have some pretty buttons around your house too! I have been cleaning my closet out I think for two years now!  I cut the buttons off the things that really need to go about five years back!  This tree just needed the buttons to serve as leaves. So, get out your stamps and look for things that buttons could add that special WOW!  I love them on things that you would not think a button would work on.  Have fun!

Embossing folder Background

The embossing folder gives the background depth and textures and a special focal point. I love sunflowers year round! Hope you’re smiling an...
