New Friends! SWAP!

I am having so much fun hearing from my new friends! I am still  hosting my card swap so come on and make a card and send it to Debbie Segler 14916 Riverside Drive Little Elm, Texas 75068.  I will then send you a return swap with a "SPECIAL" gift in the bag!  The first card is a retired stampin up set but  I just love the variety of ways you can use it!  The my friend card is very simple, but nice for a quick and easy card to send to your friends! The red flowers are done with punches and brads for the center of the flowers. Hope these inspire you to get busy and stamp on !

CAN YOU HEAR THE WIND?

Wow woke this morning to rain and high wind! Needed the rain and the cool feels great! So up to my stampin nest to snuggle in and play.  These cards today give you a variety of techniques to try.  Ribbon flowers are so fun and easy to add to your projects.  These were put on with sticky tape.  You can use the full page of sticky paper to punch out your flower and add ribbon or glitter. Try all kinds of things even buttons! The birthday card is fun and you use a marker to highlight one of the words to give an additional focal point! Use your creativity and make a focal point on your card by highlighting a stamped image too! The Christmas card uses the polka dot embossing folder, and die cuts to get the layered look. I love many layers on my cards!  I am hosting a stampin Divas two day retreat at my home on October 26, and 27th.  We will do a shoe box swap, and our focus will be fall and Christmas cards and projects!
The fee is $30.00 per day and it starts at 10:00 in the morning and runs till 10:00 at night. You can attend as much as you have time for. You may bring your own supplies and leave your things at your spot for the next days events!  We will share a pot luck so bring a great snack and come and join the fun! RSVP 979-255-0377! Let me know if you have any questions.

Shades of Blue!

Blue was the color of today and not because I am sad! Just picked these for today! The first card was edged in white gel marker to give it the look of being stitched.  The next card was stamped on velum, and then flipped over to cover the stamped image on the card stock.  The last card background was embossed with a folder, and then layered over designer paper.  Each card has some pearls and bling and ribbon to add the final touch to the blue cards.  I am having a special this month! Host a show in October and earn $15.00 free gift of your choice, on top of the standard hostess gifts! It can even be a catalogue show! Call me 979-255-0377 Thanks Debbie

TRICKS FOR MAKING TREATS!

It is time to get ready for Halloween and goodies to send to school! The first treat was done for Easter but could easily be changed to a Halloween or Birthday treat holder!  It was cut with our cone die and you can just go crazy designing cute things from this die cut.  The cat is a cute way to use several circle punches, or die cuts and form a treat box. Take your Halloween designer paper and cut a square the size of your circles, score each circle 1/4 inch to form the fold to glue onto your square base.  Add a decorative cut oval to the outside of the box, and decorate the inside as well. The ribbon is used to close the treat box, and hold what ever you add for the treat inside. The next picture shows the open version and where the candy or gift card can go! I can see Starbucks cards here for my friends and for office workers. Just add money for me so I can order more stamps! LOL!  The next treats were Easter bunny treats, but can you see them Owls, Pumpkins and Cats for Halloween?  So, here is your home work,
( yes I was teacher!) design your Halloween treat bag or card, using the top note die cut or any you have on hand and send me a picture to add to my blog to show others!  I would love a sample, so send me one to Debbie Segler 14916 Riverside Drive Little Elm, Texas 75068 thanks for sharing your art work with me and I will pick a winner and send some fun treats as a "THANK YOU!"

Pretty In Pink!

Need a quick and easy gift?  This pink bracelet was so fun and easy to make. You can use the pre-made flowers in the catalogue or find your own. These were white and were dyed with reinkers.  Then we hand sewed them to the bracelet from stampin up.  The next card is cut with a die cut, stamped and colored with water color pencils. The borders are punched from designer paper.  The last card was embossed with a folder.  I stamped and punched the flowers and added them to the white background, cut with the top note. Very pretty in pink!

Cool weather and cool designs!

It is a beautiful cool morning, and I am spending the next couple of days organizing my studio! And yes it really needs it! I still have unpacked bags from my out of town retreat and lots of things that I have used that need to be put back in their special places! I am counting my blessings this morning and hope you are too! I know that we all have trials in our lives each day but if we look around we are so much better off than lots of people! I spend each morning thanking God for of all of my friends and family and that includes you! I love this black and yellow card.  I used the stampin up Bliss set. I used sticky tape to get the ribbon to pleat, and it gives the card a very soft and different look.  The tissue paper card is so fun to make.  My pictures does not give it justice as the flower has been stamped with red backgrounds that do not show up here. The flower is cut with a stampin up die cut and it can be cut from a variety of papers and fabrics! I like to save some of the brown paper that comes in our boxes of orders. Yes I save everything too! The paper is all wrinkled and it looks great on your cards and scrapbook pages. So save some too!  The Christmas card is simple and classy! I am getting in the mood for the Holidays!

Card Making Therapy

This card lets the die cuts do the work! The first layer is flat and the next one is on dimensionals.  I love the elegant style and this two...
