I lean on these words! And I know we all need to be reminded, that Gods words and promises are everlasting! We often feel like we do not measure up, we question if we have his favor.  This verse says to me that he has given us eternal life if we believe! What a reassuring gift!   

This card really seemed to fit my verse today. I called a friend to make her feel better, and it really helped me as much or more as her!  We are like the two birds chirping and sharing.  I know that even though she is miles away I can call her and she will remind me of the Lords goodness and faithfulness! ( Search for that kind of friend) 

This card has birds on it and you know how I love birds! When I hear them or see them it triggers wonderful memories and blessing for me. I often feel that God sent them just for me to enjoy and be lifted up by. I watch them fly and move about so freely. I try to imagine my heart attached to one,  and that is the feeling of excitement and relief I get when I lean on my faith, and feel strong and secured by it! 

This card was a beautiful designer paper that was a gift from a stamp friend. We worked on them in a group of about four ladies.  We stamped the bird and flowers in the middle on cream card stock, cut it out and glued it to the center. Then we added the velum bird and flowers in the top right corner and the bird nest in the bottom left corner.  The pink flower was added with pop dots to give it a small lift. The card base is a rose red card stock, and it seemed to pick up the colors in the card and provide a good accent color.  

We all have these layers much like my card. We often try to hide under our layers,  for fear of showing our true selves to others.  I have learned that when I do that, as a means of protecting myself, it seems that I have missed out on so much love and understanding, that I could give and receive. Today,  be that PINK flower, put on your pop dots to stand out, because when you reach out to someone and show them that your human and fragile sometimes too, you will be blessed by their story!  People flutter by us all day, in a rush hurting, sad and lonely.  Smile and say hello do you love birds?  HA! Now that will get their attention! They will not be expecting that. I bet you both smile, and then the door is open for you to say you look like me today needing a friend ***   Be Blessed! 

Hearts to Share

I can not take credit for this card I pined it, but it is such fun way to use your heart punches and stamps. I am off to try and make one and I will try to share my results! Just stamp your design,  anything that can be cut around on the edge of the page, and trim around it.  I will put some decorative paper on inside edge of card to add some background I think!  I am praying for a special friend today that has lost a loved one in an accident.  I try to give her words of support and I often feel that my words are not enough.  When I lost my Mother one of my friends told me that the Lord needed her more than me,  and it was such a relief to realize that she was meeting him, and that she was in such beautiful place with no pain!  God heals everything if we let him! Be Blessed!

My Greatest Wish!

Is that my kids know the Lord and seek him daily! And that I lead them by example, to show them that they are loved and blessed, and that they will walk through their life knowing his wonderful peace and  forgiveness!

This card is stamped with the stamin up around the corner set. I colored it with my copics and I love the colors and the way it turned out. I added the dragonfly sticker, and the bling in the center of a few flowers, and then the bling strip on the sentiment.  This is a larger size card as it is a half sheet.  I will now have to find my envelope maker so I can make an envelope the right size! Butterfly Card By Guest Designer/Host Paula-Kay BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks you so much Paula, for your beautiful work and words! Paula is a very experienced designer and she has always been so kind and sweet to me when we meet at card making events! I am very happy to have her as my guest and hope she will host again in the next few months!

Hi there!  This is Paula-Kay Bourland joining Debbie in helping friends “SEEK HIM DAILY”.  I’m honored to post a card for you to enjoy.

My card is made with a stamp set from Stampin’ Up’s Sale-a-Bration going on now until March 31, 2015.  It is called Butterfly Basics.  I’ve also used the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.  For this card I made my own background using stamps in the set.  The inks I used are Palette Jardin Moss, Boudoir Blush, and Raw Sienna.  I just stamped them randomly over the card.  The base card is green cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Palette Noir ink and matted it in the green cardstock.  A green ribbon was placed under the sentiment, which is popped up with foam mounting tape.  Lastly, I added two butterfly die cuts, one cut from the green cardstock and one from a multicolor dotted cardstock.

I love the sentiment with this set.  It reminds me of some spiritual truths.  We all are sinners in depravity before God saves us and makes all things new.  2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”  Our lives are completely transformed by Christ, just like the caterpillar is transformed into a beautiful butterfly.  As we look at people in our lives who seem to be caterpillars who do not have spiritual life and vitality, we cannot know what God plans for them.  We must love them and share the good news of salvation with them.  Perhaps they too can be transformed into something beautiful by His love and grace.

I like to compare God's love to the sunshine.  The sun shows up every morning , no matter how bad you have been the night before.  It shines without judgment. It never withholds. It warms the sinners, the saints, the druggies, the cheerleaders,-the saved, and the heathens alike.  You can hide from the sun but it won't take that personally. It'll never, ever punish you for hiding.  You can stay in the darkness for years or decades, and when you finally step outside, it'll be there.  It was there the whole time, shining and shining. It'll still be there, steady and bright as ever, just waiting for you to notice, to come out, to be warmed.  All those years, I thought of God and light and the sun, as judgmental, but they weren't .  The sunrise was my daily invitation from God to come back to life.   WOW I so loved this from the book and it is very true, and really rang home for me!
I am a former teacher/administrator and we call this a "teaching moment" ! Please open your heart to Gods word, and being taught and you will find there is so much Love, Peace, and Trust for us there! Thanks to my daughter in law Kat for sharing this with me!

This card is a little out of focus but it is still so beautiful and a very easy one to make.  I like lots of colors and different layers of card stock.  This card size is different too and it is about five by five in size. There are five different designer papers cut to build the background with two black pearls added on the light pink narrow strip.  The white ribbon was glued under the two left side papers and then tied in a knot.  The main focal point is a flower stamped on white embossed card stock. I colored the flower, and then covered it in a glue that dries clear. I sprinkled a clear glitter that is very fine over the entire piece.  I put pop dots under some of the five base pieces to give them a lift. I really like the black frame under all of the pieces as it seems to give the card the accent color it needs! Hello my sweet stamp friends! I am so very excited and blessed today! My stamp friend Betty has shared my mission of helping others "SEEK HIM DAILY" and she was my first guest host/designer!  Her card was a beautiful Texas Howdy and I know it came from her heart as she has a great love of others, and knows the Lord, and goes to him often in prayer on others behalf! This card is called Bird Song! The sentiment says sing like no one is listening. I used a designer paper for the background that has some tree, leaves and flower, designs with some newsprint. I glued that to a chocolate brown card stock for the base of my card. ( Please remember that I sell Stampin' Up! let me know if you need anything) The brown dots are a strip of wash tape and it helped to give the card another color and layer. The bird is stamped and colored with Stampin' Up! markers. It was a gift from my stamp friend Nancy! I cut the bird out and fussy cut around the flower so that it would give the card a focal point and not another straight edge.  You could use any favorite stamp here, try to dig for a stamp that you have not used for a while as they get lonely! HA! There are so many lonely people that need us to share our love for the Lord and encourage them!  I tied some brown twine around the stamped image to add another texture to it. The two blue dots are some bling that comes in multiple colors that match our cards stock, I love to use them and they finish the card off in such a cute way! (order below) I know that sometime I think I am just a small little dot in this world and what difference can I make. Well, it is just like Betty said, a hello is so impactful as many people are on their phone rushing around and will not even make eye contact! It adds to the feeling of isolation and loneliness.  I am asking that you simply be more purposeful in your hello's from now on! Add to them,  and remember Jesus loves you very much!  Because he does! Your heart and theirs will be lifted, and  you will never know the encouragement that will get spread around.

Howdy! 

Debbie Segler and I met in October 2008. It was at a Stampin' Up! Class. We hit it off right away. She was new to the area and hadn't made many friends yet. I had been here since 2001 and only had one really good friend. We know that day, God brought us together. 

Have you ever sat down in a public place and just smiled at people walking by? That's my "Howdy". Often times I have been on the receiving end of a "howdy". I don't know if those people realize how much that meant to me. Its my little pick me up. Better than my morning coffee! That little bit of kindness shown to me, well, it brightened up my day. 

God moves in mysterious ways. I've been hearing that since I was a child.  If you're moved... Next time you are sitting at the mall people watching, send someone a "howdy". You will never know how that "howdy" will move them.
