Winter and Holiday Embossing FREE FREE GOODIES!

I think embossing folders add such an extra fun punch to your design. This snowflake embossed over the stamped image gives this card a beautiful background and a very elegant look! Your challenge for this week is to get out your embossing folders, and experiment with them to see what different designs you can make. Then add a Holiday stamp or embellishment and send(debsegler@gmail.com )  me a picture to post of your card. I will send the most creative winner a bag of Holiday goodies to use on their projects!  I am getting ready to go back to work soon and will not be posting as often but please keep looking!
Embossing tips: 1.  Use two embossing folders on one card, by embossing one half then place the next folder right up to the crease of the first one and emboss again with different folder. 2.  Emboss the top of your card and then highlight with color, using a sponge or dauber.  3.  Stamp and add color to the card before embossing then emboss over your design. 4. Ice the inside of the embossing folder with stamp pad ink, always place the ink on the side of the folder that has black writing on it. That is the raised side,  and it will give your project the best design and color. Place your card stock inside the folder with color on it,  and run through embossing machine. This is unlimited as to what choice of colors you make. It is very pretty when you use several colors on one folder. 5.  Add a negative space over your embossed area by using a ticker cards stock or several pieces of the same cut. I like to use this as the space for my sentiment. So I punch or die cut a design out lets say a rectangle about four inches all around. I cut it out of some particle board or heavy card stock. Next Place it inside the embossing folder on top of the card stock I am embossing. After embossing remove your cut outs and it will leave a smooth negative space/design there for you to stamp your image! Please email  your questions, or leave a post for me! Happy Stamping and Happy Thanksgiving!
