The background stamp is so fun and can be done in many colors! The tree is LOVELY AS A TREE! The leaf is a die cut and the stamp set and die cuts are awesome!
Know what I love YOU!~!! This card has several layers and I use several punches and die cuts. I embossed the white with a folder, then punched the ribbon, then punched the circles and stamped and cut the butterfly! I loved the colors together and the bling in the centers of the flowers just added the right touch!

This window card was designed by my stampin friend Betty! She always has some fun designs for us to make when we get together! This card has a die cut widow with clear window so you can see the sentiment and butterflies through it! This is also a special fold that opens with a flap on top side of the card.  The butterfly was colored with a new paint she had sorry I don't remember the name but it was fun to use a paint brush!  Go online and look at the stampin up new catty and let me know what you want to order! Something fun for Everyone! Blog Candy When you order form new Stampin up Catty! cards

I love to add many layers to cards and this one has several. I used designer papers on the left a right side of the card base and placed them vertically. Leave just a small frame of the dark green card so you can see the color.  The two vertical pieces in red were cut out of the designer paper and glued almost to the bottom of the card. The butterfly was stamped and colored with markers then the sentiment was added cut from a punch.

I am having a new stampin up catalogue surprise kick off!!! When you order $40.00 or more I will send you a free new stampin up product from the new catalogue !!! Just go on line to stampinup.com and look at the great new products and email me your order! debsegler@gmail.com.  I will contact you and complete the order!

I have really missed stamping scenes! This one was done on shinny paper and I used chalk inks to color with. This type of technique makes me feel like I am paining a canvas.  I think the moon light reflected in the water turned out really well!
This card has several layers of color and designer paper.  I like that it is simple but has a very nice design. You could stamp any type of flowers then color it to match  the designer paper you have on hand. There are so many beautiful new paper designs in the new catty! Take and look then email me you new order. debsegler@gmail.com

WINGS AND PRETTY THINGS!!!

This is a variety of cards for you today that I found as a surprise on my computer this morning! Sometimes I save card photos and they just disappear! Like magic this bunch of cards were there when I opened my computer this morning! I have a computer Ghost that plays tricks on me so that I can get frustrated and feel silly! HA!  The butterfly was colored on photo paper! I like using photo paper for a different look but you have to experiment as to which markers, and inks will work best. The photo paper grabs the ink quickly and it is difficult to blend, so you need a oily based ink or pencil for best results.  I have found some oil based colored pencils from Japan and I just love them, and they work on a variety of card stock. I like to use the chalk ink pads,(small diamond shaped) and I apply them straight from the container, then blend with a medium.

This card uses a magazine picture for the background in the window, It had lots of grass and flowers on it, so I cut it out and placed it behind the window die cut. The little blue bird was a sticker.

This bird is a stampin up stamp and very flexible to use on  many designs! The embossed white paper gives it another texture and I like using several on one card.

This is another stamping up set and it is a blast to color. I made a larger card and you can really get the full design on one this size.

This card is so beautiful in person and my picture is not a good one, but it was colored with copics and then placed under the die cut frame.

This is a special fold that I  added just for your fun thing to try this week. It takes a full sheet of card stock to cut from.

I love to design scenes and this is on shinny paper and colored with the oil based inks, and chalk inks.

This butterfly is a stampin up die cut and the fold is avery easy one that really adds to the look of the card by using double sided paper. Have some fun stamping this week send me pictures to share! debsegler@gmail.com

Little Girls With Nanny!

I found this sweet picture of my little girls at Christmas and just had to share the wonderful little blessings in my life!  They have all changed so much and their little personalities have gotten even better! Thanks Lord for the special gifts of Love you give us!

Today I am posting a variety of cards to just give you some inspiration and ideas! This die cut card was designed by my stamp friend Debbie! We love to use die cuts and we have great therapy sessions when we get together to stamp and fellowship! We often spend part of the time laughing, sharing about our lives and getting our praise on! The card has an inside pocket to drop a note or gift card inside.

This card was such a fun one to make and I love special folds for my cards. The card has flaps so that the card opens up like a box top. There are several flaps inside to decorate and a place to leave a great note to someone special.

This flower card was designed by Betty she loves the color green and we used an embossing folder to make the base of the card. The flower was placed on the top of the ribbon and the bright colors really worked together!
Tangling on cards is so very relaxing and this card was done using a stamp. The fun of stamping and then tangling inside is a great way to combine techniques.

Children stamped and colored with copic markers, Then placed on bright designer papers.

Birds and flowers stamped and colored with markers and colored pencils. Then cut out with die and placed on card front .  The new stampin up catty will be ready to order from June first. I you want to have a catalogue please email me debsegler@gmail.com
Happy Stamping!

Spring Cleaning!

Hello my stamping friends! Its time to clean out for Spring! I am cleaning out my store room of 5 years! And it has been very emotional for me, I have realized that I saved these things for the memories more than the items themselves! I found BIG DADDYS golf bag and had to touch it and try to feel his tender loving spirit and support of our family! HE MADE US ALL FEEL SAFE AND STONG LIKE HIM!  Then a box that had spilled out left black and pink wire hair rollers, that I used to fix my Mothers all white hair. It was a once a week for church thing and it was a time to visit and catch up! We often came to my house to to fix her hair and have meal and so it turned into a good long visit and fun time together! Kyle & Rusty reminisced over golf stuff and helped me to load my clothes racks so I can redo my closet! I had to go get in the truck to hide my tears, and as I tell you this again today I still have had some tears to run down my cheeks! But I am realizing the blessings that we had with all of our family members that are now with Jesus! This die cut card is very beautiful in person! Debbie cut the shapes out for Lorna and I and brought us this wonderful design. The windows show the solid pink on the inside, the little bling dots added a perfect touch to the outside. The flowers card was colored with colored pencils and splash of washi tape runs across the bottom of the card. The design is piped up on top of the card base and allows the cores to show on the to and bottom of the card.

Hello butterfly card is a pre cut card that came in an older
stampin up kit. I stamped and colored the butterfly, added the bling and it maDE A VERY PRETTY CARD!  The new stampin up catty will be out soon and there is a large retirement list. Please let me know what you want to order before they are all gone! debsegler@gmail.com

Rainy Day Therapy!

Have you ever had so many blessings in one week that you  are just giddy! Well that happens to me often and this week was no exception! First we traveled to Portals New Mexico to see our oldest son Tres Segler become the new head Coach of Eastern New Mexico University! Please go to you tube and see his press conference.  We are so proud and excited to have been a part of this wonderful new journey in their lives! He was the former assistant at Mid Western University, and they are leaving some wonderful friends behind! I know that they will form a new extended family and many will be blessed by this move! Next I got to keep Kyle and Ashley's sweet little Landry that is four months! She is just the easy going laid back little love of our lives! She is smiling and talking all of the time and I can not help being so amazed as I watch Poppie who is smitten by her!
My cards today are to get you some free inspiration and rainy day therapy! Lots of rain here in Little Elm on the pond. Water is overflowing the banks and running up the street!  This first card has been cut with a stampin up edge die and I love the look of the two colors and shadow effect! The white background has been dry embossed and edge cut as well. The flowers and have been stamped and punched then colored with sponge to paper. The edge of the card is covered with pink satin ribbon. I will be happy to order these supplies for you debsegler@gmail.com.

The layered card is one of my favorite designs ever! Love the look of the images matching up and it brings back my days of sewing were we worked so  hard to match the stripes and designs. The design is stamped all on one piece of white and then cut apart so that you can match the design on each layer with the next one. You do not have to match in a straight line mix it up and down matching for a great new look!

This little fairy card was designed by my friend Betty and it was very fun to make while we enjoyed our stamp friends company! The base was die cut then we used a stencil to add color with a sponge. The fairy was a rented image we fussy cut and added on the top. We then used wink of stella and liquid bling!
The cute little bird was a stampin up die cut and we double cut his head and added it on top to give the bird dimension. The brick is a stampin up embossing folder that has been iced with white ink on brown card stock. We colored the flowers with colored pencils, and cut the branch and leaves with a die cut! Thanks for the great comments on my projects and I am wishing you some fun therapy!

Sunday Blessings!

Hello sweet art friends! I am rejoicing today and counting my many blessings and have been singing hymns that remind me of my mother and father.  I miss them but often remember the best gift they gave me was my FAITH! I have made so many wonderful friends through my art of stamping, and I spent the day with two of them yesterday! Lorna and Betty keep me laughing and creating! We mades several very different and awesome cards. I will post them later. These cards are to get you inspired today to not just make some cards but to send them out!  It feels so good to get something in the mail that is not bill and not a email! So be inspired to make some cards this week, count your blessings, and remember a friend by sending cards!  The card with the chick and balloons was made using the new balloon punch from stampin up. It is so quick and easy and looks different with each designer paper you try! The right side has been die cut and placed over solid paper so that it shows through and adds another color on you card. The chicken was colored with ink and sponges, to give it a bright Easter accent. Do you remember seeing little chicks
that had been dyed colors for Easter? I think that dates me?
The little girl is putting on her bonnet and going to hunt eggs with her little farm friends. The corner decoration has a punched background with lace and flowers glued on top. This is your assignment for the week. Design a corner decoration using a punch and your ribbons, lace and bling, buttons, the sky is the limit. Send me a picture to win some free card goodies I will mail to you! debsegler@gmail.com or 979-255-0377 via text.  I want to see what you create!
This stamp set has become one of my favorites and the die cuts are just so very fun to use and can do so many different things.  Botanical Blooms has a great bundle special stamp set, dies, and coordination paper! Let me order it for you!

Heartfelt dies and glitter: This was a card made in a class that Lorna and I took together. This glitter is lovely and you better like it cause you will wear it for a week after! HA! This die cut was cut in half and placed under the label, The paper ribbon was colored and placed over the top. Then the little flowers were die cut and molded with a tooling a matt after spritzing with water.  I will be looking forward to seeing your corner punch design! Happy Stamping! Hugs!
