Tweet Sweet Cards!

This is a cool way to make your focal point of your card or project.  Cut out a shape using a die cut and then add your main object inside of the cut. The green cut draws your eye to the bird and accents the background color of the card. These card designs are from an event at my stamp friend Denise's house. Have fun with these tweet sweet card designs!
I know that Valentines is way gone but I found this card and wanted to remind you of this technique,  Tearing your card stock to add such a different look and appeal to your cards.  The more colors and layers the better I like the design.  I also like to use designer paper in the middle of the solids.

Fantastic Cut outs!

These are the new die cuts, they are so easy to use and they add so much to my projects. I like to add layers and designer papers to give the card a punch!
I love this swim lady! This is how I feel when I try to get into my summer clothes again! LOL! Betty shared her with me and we had many laughs, making these cards! Remember that half the fun of stamping is the fellowship so get a group together soon and have some good fun! I will be glad to come and teach or send you a do it yourself stamp kit for you and your friends to make together!  debsegler@gmail.com for kits!
This card was one I got as a member of Betty's swap.   I loved the doodling look as that is very popular right now. If you have not tried the technique simply pick a stamp with some free open space and use your markers and gel pens to doodle inside the space. This really can change the whole look of the card and stamp. Have fun!

Listen to the Wings!

This is a simple yet elegant card. The butterfly was embossed with black ink and then colored. I colored mine with water color pencils and my blender pen. I love to color and often use it as my therapy! Add a trim, button, and a verse and there you go!

Showers Brought Flowers!

There is a old cemetery just up from my house on top of a small hill, and it is covered in bluebonnets. There has been tons of people with cameras and children getting photos in the flowers! The recent rains have filled my pond up and the birds are feeding and the ducks are here too! I have always loved nature and these blessing from God help me to be inspired for my art work! This card has three textures, the first is some designer paper, then the blue flowers are stamped directly onto the card front, the three paper flowers have been added on top of the ribbon. The bottom right hand corner has more of the blue flowers stamped and running off the edge of the project to carry your eye all the way off the card. This is a tip I give my scrapbook friends too! You can take a card front and add it into your page design and add a border and pictures and it makes a total new look for your scrapbook. While your looking and counting the floweres count your blessings too! I count each of you as one of mine!

Spring Things!

I think this card turned out so nice! Betty and I made this together and it proves two heads are better than one! We use the top note die cut and cut out of two different colors. Then we used a ribbon punch so the ribbon could be laced through the paper. The newsprint flower and metal dragonfly added the extra the card needed to finish it off. When you place something on the edge hanging over just a bit it gives the project a new dimension and focal point.

Card Making Therapy

This card lets the die cuts do the work! The first layer is flat and the next one is on dimensionals.  I love the elegant style and this two...
